Writer Honours BA Fine Arts Cultural Studies, York University 2001
The first story I ever wrote was one of redemption and plagiarism - an illustrated
tale about Care Bear spokesperson Tenderheart Beartm teaching a
grumpy black bear how to love.
So, it had a happy ending.
Many years later at Toronto's York University, I earned my Honours BA in Fine Arts
Cultural Studies (I use the term "earned" loosely, considering the essays
on my friends and the self-designed course on comic books). After graduation, I
hung around to attend Osgoode Hall Law School. However I quickly realized the study
of law was teaching me how NOT to love and I promptly ran away.
So, this too had a happy ending.
Horribly out of shape, I only ran as far as the other end of Toronto, although from my
playwriting credits you'd think I'd made it all the way to Calgary. Now I
live and write (About Toronto, among other
things) in a little apartment with a sweetheart of an actor and
two talkative cats.
